On Monday 31 st August 2026, I had the very real privilege of featuring as a guest speaker at Haas Business School, University of California Berkeley. I presented as part of the MBA class led by Kimberly MacPherson MBA/MPH, Executive Director, Health Management - Haas School of Business. Speaking about the class ‘Healthcare in the 21st Century’ one student fed back to me afterwards that the ‘timing relative to the syllabus was perfect’ and that there were ‘a few things that stuck with me’ including the need for purpose before structure, the need to stop people drawing diagrams of the local health system and different definitions of collaboration, including traitorous cooperation with the enemy!
